Using the various vowel sounds, try to pronounce a "word hint"
to see what words come up. An example: For the word hint M a player might say ma, may, me, my, mo, moo, and the context may suggest that one of these is part of the puzzle.
Here's another example. For the hint HND a player might try
the various vowel sounds and come up with the words hand, hind, honed, and hound. For longer words, it helps to figure out where the syllable breaks
most likely are and solve them one syllable at a time. When you
start putting the syllables together, the hidden word will suddenly
jump out of hiding. For instance: GZMPL divided into syllables = G / ZM / PL Use the standard puzzle-solving strategy by solving the easier
parts first and then use those parts as context to solve the harder
parts. When you first start solving sound puzzles, you may want to use
a piece of paper to jot down each solved word, placing the word
in relation to its place in the puzzle, and then proceed to fill
in the blank parts. Note that The bullet symbol () is used for single vowel sounds and for diphthongs. an example = N - GZMPL (four single vowels) via = V (two single vowels) day = D (a diphthong) The sound hint "B" could be any of several words including
"be" "boy" "bow" and "buy." The voiced and unvoiced "th" sounds use the same "TH" symbol. the = TH thin = THN Sounds in parenthesis are sounds that can be used or not used in a word's pronunciation. (H)WN = when .....KCH(W)L = actual Have fun. MLM
